How it works

One quiz package for LMS import

QTI is an interchange format used by learning-management systems. Quizlet Exporter writes the assessment XML and manifest into a .zip package designed for the QTI import workflows in Canvas, Blackboard, and other compatible platforms.

Unlike Aiken, the QTI generator can represent single-choice questions, multiple-answer questions, and written responses. The destination LMS still controls how imported question types and scoring appear, so preview the result before publishing it to students.

How to Export Quizlet to QTI

1

Open the Test page

Install Quizlet Exporter and open the Quizlet Test page containing the questions you want to move.

2

Choose QTI

Click Export, select Quiz, and choose QTI — Canvas / Blackboard. A QTI .zip package downloads to your computer.

3

Keep the ZIP intact

Do not extract or rename files inside the archive. The manifest and quiz XML need to remain together for the LMS importer.

4

Import and review

Use your LMS's QTI or course-content import screen, upload the ZIP, choose the destination question bank or course, then review question types, answers, and points.

Your LMS has the final say

Canvas, Blackboard, and other systems can interpret QTI packages differently. Import into a draft course or question bank first and check question types, scoring, and expected text answers before assigning the quiz.

The package moves question content, choices, and answers. It does not transfer Quizlet study history, folders, media, or the visual design of the Test page.
